So what does everyone do when they're not making music?

Sports, politics, movies, videogames, questionable hobbies, photos from your family vacation, etc. Talk about stuff that isn't ponies or music. But do try to stay on topic and respectful of alternate opinions.

There. I corrected it for you. I swear... The way girls are in school... It's a bit pathetic. While I've never really had many "girl problems" in my life, I do think a majority of them are... Well... Pathetic. You're either talking to a slut, a hot girl that only dates people 500 years older than her (Not that age is a problem in general, but it really has to do with how mature you are physically and mentally, and knowing what you should and shouldn't do), the "average" looking girl that is always in a relationship, or the terribly ugly girls with great personalities. Then you get out in the real world, and... Well... A lot stay that way, but a good amount actually turns what would be considered "perfect".

Of course, what good are my words? I'm literally not attracted to either gender, but rather personality.

I'll just go now.

Don't worry not your fault at all i haven't really talked about it before on the forum but it would be lame not to mention it in a thread like this. Luckily my twin 5 year olds like the show as much as me. It's really cool having a show we all watch together. Just working on my wife who is simply ok with it. :D

Huh, you're in Denver? Crazy, I just moved to the Springs about a month ago!

As for what I do on my off time... whelp, I'm a Marine stationed at Peterson AFB working for NORAD/USNORTHCOM. So yeah, suffice to say, I keep myself pretty busy lol.

Hobby wise, I play a lot of paintball, I love R/C airplanes (to the point where I used to design my own airfoils) and I'm a tech enthusiast.

When I'm not making music, I'm usually at work. When I'm not at work, though, I'm usually either hiking outside or making pony vectors.

Do you have a vector that you're working on now? Or something you can share?

Well, I play a lot of Guitar Hero / Rock Band / similar. Also have quite the addiction to the Super Smash Bros. series.

It's never too late for a fap joke. Someone just came in here and made one, anyone can do it.

I still play it. If you get it for the PC, there's a ton of awesome mods to screw around with. Too bad the Real Time Settler mod has been abandoned, it was really fun making your own town.

If I'm not playing hockey/golf, out of the house somewhere, the occasional video game, preoccupied with skype or reading, I'm usually making music.

D'aawwwww... that feel. It is well known.

Ya know, I think EQD sorta shifted from taking all submissions (like when I submitted my first song, back when the site had maybe 200,000 views) to combing YouTube/Soundcloud for any popular artists posting new music. It also seems that they have a preference for vocals now.

That's what I've been told by a couple of my mates already. It's like I know my song is good enough for other people to hear it, but because of the lack of "e-flow" nobody is able to find it. It's really sad that if what you're saying is true, because - as many known artists have said it themselves - there are many gems that are yet to be found, and EQD doesn't seem to make it easier for them (and by no means am I implying that I am one of them, but I do believe that with their help it could only strengthen my will to become even better.)

This is so true - thanks to this website, I've been subscribing to many 'lesser knowns' on Soundcloud and YouTube. In fact, I just heard Codeum's Smile remix and fell in love with it.

The thing is, EQD isn't the only avenue to have your songs heard (although we're not fooling ourselves by saying it isn't the most popular). There's YouTube of course, and Soundcloud, Bandcamp, EFR itself, Rainbow Dash Network... heck, even Facebook.

A lack of notability really hasn't stopped me from trying, though. I love music, and as a hobby, I do it because it's fun and I genuinely enjoy it. Besides, you never know when your big break will come if you stop making music; I know a lot of the 'greats' have far more failures than successes that'll never see the light of day, plus years of combined experience. And I guarantee with Season 3, a new influx of music will hit the net; a perfect time to give it another go!

Those do not allow you to have your music heard, as they also require viewers/listeners in the first place.
