'sup, I recently started writing pony music - ponies can be oddly inspiring - and found out about this place. I write and produce raw rock - no fancy EDM thingamajics for me - and I'm working on a song which I expect to release soon, next week maybe? I'll be sure to post a WIP when I get to my computer - though I've been playing for years now, I feel my old stuff doesn't properly represent the kind of stuff I'll release under this name.

This seems like a lovely community so far, I'm sure I'll enjoy my stay here. I go by the name of technoguyx on most sites, though I doubt anyone here has heard of me.

EDIT: also best ponies are Rarity, Scootaloo and Trixie in no particular order

Hey, nice to have you here :) And definitely gonna be nice having a rock musician around! As I'm sure you've noticed, there's a big focus on EDM in this community, since that's what most people here make, but we've got some rock-oriented people too! What instruments do you play? Looking forward to hearing the WIP.

This community and the whole brony music scene is quite focused on EDM, indeed. I can't blame them: some EDM is quite good and it's what popular right now. There's always rock and metal playing people, though, you just gotta look out for them. c:

I play guitar and bass, and recently started singing for my online band (here, but you really should wait for our album to be released at the end of this month - way better production) and to get started making pony music, of course.

Here's the thread for the WIP btw c:

I'm guessing the non-best pony is Rarity or Trixie? what do people have against them QQ

Hey guys, I'm Scarecrow. After being blown away time and again by the works of brony musicians, I've decided to see if I can't learn a bit from you guys and maybe make a friend or two.

As my signature suggests, I haven't seen a single episode of MLP (had to google to get past your "captcha"), but I'm not here to hate, so I don't think that will get between me and this community.

I'll post some of my work in another thread so you guys can get a feel for the kind of music I make. I'm a bit of a genre jumper.
You may also know me as Damp Hit, or possibly even Qiro. No, I'm not a brony. No, I'm not a hater. I'm just here for the food.

That won't be hard for you, new face. We're all friendly peoply people and most of us like having friends, so you'll probably find some soon enough. And one does not enter MLR without learning anything. You're gonna learn alright :P

Then I really wonder how you found this place to start with xD I'm not here to tell you that non-bronies aren't allowed here (no no, none of that), but do know we're an MLP-oriented community (like you haven't noticed yet xD ). So I at least would greatly advice you to watch it once. The rest will follow.

I'm curious. Tell me more, lad.

So, a big welcome for you from me, I hope you have fun, and as long as you do that, behave, and aren't afraid to ask us questions (we don't bite however noob you think you are), you'll do just fine in your time here.

I found your site through one of your members, Lunanox. He actually posted a thread for my remix contest in the contest board.
I did hear that John de Lancie was in a couple of the Season 2 episodes, and I'm a huge fan of his work, so I'll probably end up watching those episodes at some point or another.

I just don't feel the need or desire to stick to a particular genre when making music. Rarely do I even have a genre in mind when I sit down to produce, but often an emotion I want to embue in the song.

You know, I've never actually posted in the intro thread before.

Well, I'm Genkar, or Nick. I'm 15, I play percussion and have been making electronic music for probably around 6 months now. I enjoy making melodic stuff and jumping around trying different genres. I like to give feedback to those who want it.

I don't really have too much to say about myself, that's really just about it.

Hey I'm Aspen. Just decided to join because I've talked to a few people here and I've always wanted to become part of a music community. I play piano and drums and I try to sing but I'm not too great at it. I'm hoping that becoming a part of this forum will get me more interested in finishing music that I've started and motivate me to bettering myself as a musician.

Hi bros,

that's my first post on here,
I go under mhzesent, am a Polish abstract hip-hop producer and (formerly) rapper,
I have released three instrumental albums and three EPs, and I have always really wanted to make some FiM-related stuff but never had an inspiration to do so; recently the thing is going to change because I had an opportunity to cook a beat for Flowny,
and I'm more than willing to do ANY remix projects (it doesn't matter whatever the original genre is, my work is sorta experimental so if I have stems of some track I like, I will find an inspiration to totally re-tool it to my style).
Oh, and chiptune is also my thing, I do them on Modplug Tracker with chip samples but been doodling in FamiTracker too.

If some of you come to ponychat IRC, I'm hanging here under the name erischan.

Oh, well, you don't have to. I never talk about my music in public and I (usually) don't want to put any meaning in album and tracknames so I have just made up a collage of two of my previous names, mhz_ and Esent. I have never pronounced it. Both of them didn't have really any meaning, too.

Well seeing as the hz is lowercase to instead of Hz like it should be, I'm guessing that we can't accurately tell. But yeah, lowercase m is milli-.

So basically: Millihertz Ascent

Hello all!
I'm Rider, but some call me Poninet
-I'm 17 years old
-I've played the clarinet for about 10 years, and I love implementing it somewhere in all of my music
-I started getting interested in music production about 2 years ago
-Up until about 2 months ago I only had Finale and I only composed sheet music for about 2 years
-I've dabbled in the demos of Ableton, FL Studio, Audacity, and Melodyne
-I don't have any music completed yet since I'm just starting off, learning how to use the programs, and I don't have all the equipment yet....plus I'm a little lazy
Musical Influences: I'm open to trying any genre of music, but I prefer Trance, Techno, Dubstep, and Progressive House, as well as some classical.
My Favorite Pony is Carrot Top

Happy to meet you all :D

Postby Jokeblue » 13 Jun 2013 08:33

So it's been 54 days (I'm pretty sure) since joining and I've failed to notice this thread xD

Names Jeremy, though I go by Jokeblue. And I'm about to ramble. I do that. So if you don't really care for a musical/brony intro story type dealio feel completely free to just skip over this. Just gonna cover Music and Ponies.

Letsee.... I'm a Bassist, to start with. Well. I'm more of a Guitarist now than a Bassist. I play alot of guitar. Born and raised with a love for punk, grunge, rock, hard rock, and classic metal (as in the metal that started metal, though Neoclassical metal is pretty wicked). My first band was a grunge rock band called Unhappy. Now i'm bassist in a metalcore band called Scars Have Faded.
Though really, in terms of genre i'm pretty all around and a Fan of pretty much everything. Fan of most types of music, except the junk you hear over the radio, which is primarily really bad Pop music. Primary influences in writting would be Coheed and Cambria, Metallica, Megadeth, Foo Fighters etc etc etc music music music

So I guess my style of music, based on what I've written so far is a mix up of Rock, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, etc.

I write music. Alot. I love writing music. And just music all around. I've written an odd 20-30 songs which are all just kinda sitting in my head and song book waiting to be recorded. Only recorded 1 xD Need to change that. I've been using Protools SE, and i'm really new to recording, mixing, mastering, everything. So it might take a while for me to bring all my ideas to life.

Now for Ponies!
Got into My Little Pony after watching a couple of episodes and realising it wasn't that bad. A friend of mine (who was the only Brony in the school [and thats saying something considering it's a Kindergarten - Yr 12 school] until I became a Brony after he left) got me to read Fallout: Equestra, which absolutely blew my mind. Took 6 days of solid reading (only took him 3 which is impossibly fast), and it was one of the best books i've read out of my own volition. Pretty influential in getting me into MLP even more.

Then, I started discovering the fan-music. And there is some really amazing stuff. Insanely awesome music coming from this fandom. Seriously, blew my mind.

I saw Rainbow and Rooted coming up, felt inspired, and decided I'd try my hand. And so here I am.
And that's

...Huh. This kinda seems less....well, long and life storyish as I was expecting. But yeah. I'll be hangin round this site for a while, so expect to see me round!

Also, I don't know who best pone is. I can't choose >.< DONT MAKE ME!!!
