Sports, politics, movies, videogames, questionable hobbies, photos from your family vacation, etc. Talk about stuff that isn't ponies or music. But do try to stay on topic and respectful of alternate opinions.

Well a general cleanup of threads that were never any use (not informative) could be useful i don't see that they're really a problem unless they are effecting search results or taking too much space on their server. Again that's up to the admins if that's the case.

I have to agree with MCMIAG, I don't think it would be very much trouble at all to implement, and it would make the lives of everyone participating in these events a lot easier. If the benefits outweigh the costs, why not do it? :)

Yeah that would be awesome. Having all brony events mapped out clearly on MLR would be extremely helpful and make this site even more essential.

That would actually be pretty helpful. Right now we pretty much have to just put spoilers in white text

Hey circutfry, now that R&R is over (mostly) could you give a basic timeline of when we can expect to see these changes??

Also, on the subject of spoiler tags, what use would they actually have? I don't see anything on this site that would need them other then a couple of the community / spam threads.

The website needs a chatbox embedded at the bottom, that is the secret to all successful forums.

This was mentioned earlier in the thread, and while it would probably be helpful to some people, it would make the site hell for mobile users.

hide huge amounts of text without clogging up a thread, to post youtube clips without lagging the site

The spoiler tags I've seen are just blacked out text, which appears when you mouse over it. If you could use it to shorten text or post videos I can see how it would be useful. If it's not a pain to implement I say we might as well add it.

One: Never link to #swag in IRC. That is a bad idea. It's like #bronymusic's butt. Except it's dead.

Two: Spoiler tags.

Three: Never ever implement a chat room in the layout. I will lose a ton of respect for you if you do. It doesn't make the site better, it makes it far worse. And I know people are gonna be butthurt over this, but we don't all have 10Mbps connections. Every update is immediately downloaded. Which is bad. Besides, we already have a chat, if you wanna go there, just click IRC.

Agree that would be lame and would likely allow those who access from work to no longer be able to (such as myself).

So are any of these actually going to happen?

I think it was said before but we need more mods. The current ones are rarely on and the admins on even rarer.(i'm partly saying this because I really want to be a mod even though that'll probably never happen 3:)

Ain't that the truth. I guess we're in agreement for a second time today then. Mark your calendars.

The key i think is cfry coming back to this thread, looking at the recommendations, and then running with some of the proposals. First and foremost having a team of additional mods who will let this place run well and who plan on being here frequently. There's no point in having people as mods who don't already hang out here.

I honestly think you & 4th are the only ones that should even be considered to deserve modship at this point.

Negatory. Cfry's a cool guy, he just needs a team to help make things a lot less chaotic around here. I just hope he'll consider me.
