Haha, why thank you, I guess it is pretty cool. It's my OC name, though, too; I eventually decided to use it as my pony musician name as well, lolz.

Hello, all.
I'm SticktheFigure.
I've been involved with the playing of music for seven years now.
My main is piano, but I also play Sax and a tiny bit of guitar.
I've been using FLStudio for almost a year now. I'm far from knowing anything about it, but I'm persevering.
Luna is best pony, but I really love Colgate.
If I forgot anything I'll edit this tomorrow in the afternoon.
I need to get to sleep.

Oh, last note: I'm currently a Junior in high school. This is not very relevant, but still helps to paint a picture of myself.
Spoiler woof:

Postby MEMJ0123 » 20 Oct 2012 14:55

Hi! I'm MEMJ0123, but most people just call me Jen.
Well, I'm a musician in the sense that I sing. I'm terrible with lyrics and composition, but who knows? Maybe one day inspiration will hit me hard enough and I'll write my own song... one that's at least half-decent, that is.
I also voice-act in the community. I'm the Celestia VA for SillyFillyStudios on youtube, I guess I'm pretty much typecast for doing a Ce/Mo/Trol/lestia impression all over the brony community, but I can do other impressions too, I swear! :P
Soooo... yeah! I think that's pretty much it :) nice to meet you guys!
Check out mah stuff! ... if you dare ;)

Anyway, I will definitely look forward to listening to what you'll make :D

Postby Mondogreen » 28 Oct 2012 22:06

Hey guys, I'm Mondogreen. I've been messing around in Sony Acid for a few years now and started getting into sound design about 10 months ago (I decided to go with Massive). Instead of separating my patches by genre, I actually categorize my stuff according to the mood that the sound puts me in, which just seems to work better for me. Over the past month, I've decided to start showing my tracks around to different people. The response has been great so far, so I guess I'm just gonna continue doing what I'm doing.... oh, and Discord is best pony, and my ponysona is Decibel

Postby Pewter Robot » 28 Oct 2012 22:38

I'm Pewter Robot. I've only been making EDM for about a year, so I'm pretty new. I started making music on FL making harsh noise (like Merzbow-style stuff, so yes, I'm kind of weird), and sort of south London (Kromestar, Cyrus, Hatcha)-influenced dubstep, but I've recently shifted to house because it turns out that I'm much better at house than dubstep.

My favorite software to use is Ableton Live with Sylenth1 and a few Fabfilter VSTs. If I have all that, I'm pretty much happy, since house doesn't emphasize sound design as much as sampling and sequencing.

I spent a little while on Gearslutz, but I left that place because everypony's a complete jerk there. And today, while working on a current project, I Googled for a white noise VST and clicked the first link entirely because the name of the web site was My Little Remix. Then I couldn't believe it. And it was true: a forum website for brony musicians. And here I am.

That's pretty much all there is. I'll just go ahead and post my latest creation here:
http://soundcloud.com/pewter-robot/surprise-party
It isn't too good, since it's just something I threw together in a couple of hours as a last-minute happy birthday to someone I know. I can't believe I forgot to compress it.

And one last thing: Rainbow Dash is best pony ever and nopony will ever be as awesome as her. (Except Kromesar. He's as awesome as her.)
I always enjoy doing something until I have to.
Good thing I'm supposed to be doing stuff other than music.

A couple of days ago I spent hours customizing my computer to make it Rainbow Dashier. I got a wallpaper, a login screen, icons, computer account picture, and a Google Chrome theme all with Rainbow Dash. I even changed my computer account name to hers. I do love Rainbow Dash.
