Another posting about EqD? As much as I feel like they aren't the best place for music showcase (Yes you'll get loads of views), you have to understand how massive the brony music scene is. Sure they'll take some newbies, but mostly it's the established artists they'll take over a newbie, no offense. I've been snubbed more times than I can count, so I gave up and went the old fashioned way with self promotion.

Buck up and know you're not alone, but complaining about EqD has been looked down upon in the past and I don't want to stir up another wasp nest here.

Okay so I'm in this band that writes and performs original material
I'm best friends with the guitarist and I'm the bass player.
The drummer? Absolute fucking nob head. Not even joking. Utter, utter twat. Annoys me so fucking much that I have to put up with his shit just because he's a good drummer and there's no other drummers around.
Ugh. He also doesn't listen to a single thing and he calls ME a dick
He once pretended to accidentally trip over, knocking my bass cabinet over. I think that's why it's broken now. Utter nob head.
We breakfast is e

House. Glitch Hop. IDM. Breakbeat. Chillout. Footwork. Lo-fi. Vaporwave. Noise. These are some of the genres I like to completely ruin.

I guess one of the benifits of being an e-musician is the ability to flit about different groups, looking for collabs and stuff. Anyway, I hope you can get your drummer to quit pulling this bullshit.

That sucks, Viricide. Usually in my experience, the lead guitarist or singer are the douchers because they feel they're the stars of the show (Only talking personal experience, the guitarists/singers here are extremely nicer). It's a tough thing to swallow; a good drummer who's a douchebag. You have my condolences and support. Hang in there, man, you have friends here. (Hugs)

Everything in my life works perfectly. Except my cars. I've had seven of them in the last two years. They've all had major issues. All of them have set me back a lot of money. They seemed to be fine before I got them. Two of them have outright just died. I dream of a world where cars are immune to problems.

MY SOUL WILL GO ON.

And I'm a revhead too, so I'm pretty much always behind the wheel. Spent about $800 on my current car, but I have no intention of getting rid of it. I will tame this beast.

I swear, I'm going to kill someone soon. Ever have that moment where you feel like making music, but something gets in your way and by the time you get back to your work station the feeling is gone? Well, that happened one too many bloody times to me, and I'm about ready to make someone wish they were never born. The scary part is I never felt anger like this before. The occasional annoyance, sure, but not wrathful rage.

Addendum: It's getting worse. Please, I need help ASAP before I do something I regret.

Pttthhhhhhpppt I'm done with today. I'm not sure, I've just been in an all whatever-depressed-I-don't-want-to-do-anything mood for the past however many hours.

Anybody else have those moments, where you just get depressed for some lengths of time? I'm thinking it's just mood swings related to puberty, but it could be the line of fatal car/race crash videos I was watching a bit ago.

My mind is kinda behaving against my will in regards to the opposite sex. My sort of 'drive' for a relationship has been put aside for a pretty long time and as of today it's decided to go "Uh, hey anthony? I STILL EXIST :D". Problem is, I honestly have no idea what to really -do- about it. Because at random I'll become fixated on whatever girl I happen to be spending more than 5 minutes (Thankfully, this doesn't seem to apply to my close friends). I'm kinda realizing that I'm a severely repressed person sometimes :T I shoulda gone through this years ago, but I'm 16 and it's basically only just beginning to happen. And a lack of experience in the area is leaving me completely fucking clueless on how to handle it :I

So I guess I'm turning into a lovesick puppy? I dunno.

So I was working on a track with someone a while ago and right when we were near completion the project corrupted... but luckily I had very recent track exports so I was able to continue working on it... The person I was working with was a vocalist and they were doing the vocals... They said they could get a friend to sing the chorus for me and so they asked for the chord progression and stuff of the chorus... So I did that... then they said that she couldn't do it because he had a crush on her... After that I kept sending messages to him asking about the song to see if he got someone to the chorus but I never got any reply... Today (about 5 minutes ago) I discovered he took MY idea and the lyrics we worked on together and made the song with someone else and used the exact fucking name... and to think I trusted this guy...

Jeez, what a douche.

As for you, Biggles, I feel you man. Nary a day goes by where I don't think about hooking up with almost every girl around (not the ones who are mean to other girls, that's for sure), and although I am driven, I still am mindful about taking orders from my dick. Just be cool to other people, yo. Don't pretend to want to be some chick's friend if your dick is saying otherwise. Instead, try asking her out. If you get rejected, alpha the fuck up and re-aim towards a new relationship goal. Basically, don't be a douche, but take a chance. Be forward, but not aggressive. Be interested, but not desperate. You're 16, which is perfect for high school parties. I'd suggest for you to go to one where you know people from your school will be, and see how well you do. Don't get wasted, and try to see if you can manage a conversation. Then see if you can manage a hookup. Then see if you can manage anything else.

Good luck on your quest.

Well I tend to avoid parties like the plague. I've had a couple shitty times with that (back when everyone assumed I was gay they thought it was fucking hilarious to put me in uncomfortable situations. Thankfully that didn't continue past me finally snapping at someone.). Plus they're fucking loud (my poor ears ;-;) and the constant presence of people physically and emotionally drains me. So no, I'd much rather meet someone in an environment less stressful/paranoid to me. I might go to another if my friends are there. But I'd be hard pressed to find a party going on in my area that wouldn't have at least 4 people who'd either drive me to give up and leave or drive me to do something violent and non-me.

And keeping up conversations with girls is tough for me (my big long speil covers all that and more), but I'm definitely a lot better at it now, but it's still a problem that can really hinder that. But your advice makes sense nonetheless (even though I'm not sure how to go about it). So thanks, you've at least given me something to think about.

Well, you kinda gotta have the gift of gab if you gotta get with a girl. Shit is just too expensive to do through other other means. We're not superstars or supermodels or extraordinary people, but we've all got some shit that we rep, and people like it when you're positive about who you are and what you do. Think of asking a girl out as going to a business meeting, it's all about what you can bring to the table, except instead of work habits, it's your confidence and personality. And you're not getting too far without those two things.

I mean, you've been doing music for a while, right? Rep that shit. People ask you what you do, you can walk up to them and tell them, "I'm a musician,(pause) motherfucker." Not only women like that, people like that in general.

And if you got something else that you identify with better, then just replace "musician" with what you rep up there and you're set.
