"Metalheads"

Sports, politics, movies, videogames, questionable hobbies, photos from your family vacation, etc. Talk about stuff that isn't ponies or music. But do try to stay on topic and respectful of alternate opinions.

Well, I can enjoy distorted guitars, and a few metal songs are ok in my eyes. But for the most part I'm not a fan of it.

Some people said the previous song was too long. Here's a shorter one.

And before Mr. Bigglesworth complains: I'm not forcing you to listen to it.

I'm just merely trying to promote what I think is "good" metal.

I wasn't complaining, I was justifying myself. I'll leave it at that, I don't wanna get off topic again.

Is this thread seriously going to devolve into nothing more than a metal vs. EDM war? Come on, guys, you're better than this; stop fighting.

My posts are not anti-EDM, they are simply in favor of showing some nice metal pieces. I don't see why my posting examples is considered fighting. I'm simply trying to share what I like - you know, like a community.

I meant this thread in general kinda turned into Bigglesworth and GK arguing just because the former made a passing comment about how he didn't like metal.

To be fair, it wasn't exactly a very heated argument.

Gosh. After that, I feel I've just got to post my perhaps contrasting idea of what good metal is. I'm not saying for a moment that other people can't have wildly varying notions of what constitutes goodness, or promote that- far from it, this becomes a dialogue and that's as it should be!

I just need metal to be... scarier.

:D

That said, I adore the scarier EDM too...

Honestly, Aphex Twin is completely metal in every possible way in this one, and I love it <3

First, only half of Ghelded Kultz was in this, the other Kult is too mature to get involved with something like this, second, the dispute wasn't even about liking Metal, it was about how he phrased his comment because I'm a dick like that, third there wasn't actually really much arguing and there was actual subject-relevant discussion mixed in with that, and it pretty much died once he made it clear he understood that Metal isn't just screaming, and finally there has been a lot of discussion besides that since then.
