I am not Vinyl Scratch

Sports, politics, movies, videogames, questionable hobbies, photos from your family vacation, etc. Talk about stuff that isn't ponies or music. But do try to stay on topic and respectful of alternate opinions.

I am not Vinyl Scratch

Hello guys, I'm Vy_Scratch

This forums I will be using mainly for my MLP music, for I am planning to make an iTunes debut in the Summer of 2013 (which is coming soon)

http://www.youtube.com/user/MusiciansOfPonyville is my YouTube. I am pretty much the guy who works on all the music. The description will tell otherwise. I have been composing since I was 5 so don't get the impression that I make bad songs.

I mainly use Garageband, Ableton, and FL Studio. However I do have access to Logic Pro, Cubase, and Pro Tools. I am 15 (at the moment) and hope to become famous as many other Brony artists you know. Check me out guys, It'll really help

Welcome, what I inferred from your message is that you're going big right away. That may just be me though, you could mean something completely different from what I inferred, and if so, then I apologize in advance.

However, regardless of whether or not you think that, the brony fandom is a great place to start posting and letting people know that you exist, but mainly if you're a beginner. But that doesn't mean you should stop making pony music, I looked at the one piece you have up, and it's really good, it really reflects the amount of time you've been composing for. But if you want to get well known and famous for your music, the mlp fandom isn't the best place, as nobody really gets famous for their pony music anymore. The people who have are the few that started when the fandom was still in its early stages, but now people just aren't as interested in pony music, because of how much pony music has been worn down and reused. Especially with the huge surge of new producers that came about a year to a year and a half ago. We now total over 500+ people making pony music, just to give you an idea.

But regardless, I wish you luck in, what I think is, your impossible to reach goal, and welcome you to mylittleremix. You're about the 3rd-4th person this week or month to make a thread in the community section introducing yourself because you didn't notice the introduction thread, so don't feel bad

Welcome to MLR!

I'll second what itroitnyah said though. This forum is a place for MLP musicians to share their love for the show, collaborate on pieces, and improve as musicians together. If you're looking to make it big one day in the real music community, or even the brony music community, this site isn't the best place for that. As you will likely notice, a lot of the bigger musicians in the community have not been active on this site for quite some time, or have never been a part of this site to begin with.

If you're looking for a place to hang out, and possibly learn some new tricks in the process, we're pretty good about that. Think of MLR as more of a family. A family that likes to make music, and have fun while doing it.

Hello chap, welcome n what not

I am planning to make an iTunes debut in the Summer of 2013

Speaking from experience being on iTunes doesnt mean jack, honestly if know one knows you and you're not on a label, no one at all is going to buy your music. That, and itunes takes about 50-60% of the profits. You might as well stick with Bandcamp to get your music out there :)

Welcome!

Agreed with the above posters. There's nothing much more to add than that, to be honest. I left you a few words on your youtube's video in the comment section. I hope you'll find the feedback supportive and not repulsive, as this is what helped me to get where I am now, and by that I do not mean 'famous' (not my goal), but 'somewhat recognized here and there.'

The only way to get seen now, is to get a collab with someone like Glaze or Omni, that gets thousands of views on youtube daily.
