Why isn't there more pony country music?

No, seriously, you'd think that there'd be at least a few songs... personally, I haven't heard any.

I'm not even a country fan; it just kinda surprises me. Thoughts?

Get a snowball. Cheap but amazing usb condenser mic. Throw a pop filter on it and you are set.

I think, maybe, because good country is harder than good brostep? Seriously, even a bit off and it sounds trite

I have heard a few, but it's have to do with country not being popular outside the US. :)

Oh yeah... if you ever go to the south or southeastern states, you'll know.

I think colortwelve has a point; it IS difficult to nail down correctly. You really gotta have DAT VOICE.

Country Western radio stations are the most listened to in the US, followed short by Hip-Hop/Rap.

THE MORE YOU KNOW.

Yeah, I actually like Country. I'm not really a big fan of female country singers, but male singers...DAT VOICE.

Wait a minute. What voice? Mind giving me a hint? I've been writing country for Applejack to sing because that's all that came to mind, and faking the voice.

And 'cos I love Applejack and _am_ like Applejack, in spirit.

If 'DAT VOICE' is more like what Big Mac would do, I wouldn't have to fake a damn thing. Instead, I'd have to come up with whatever sort of song HE would sing (hint: lyrics do have to include more than 'ayep', which is why I've been stuck without any Big Mac songs)

Do you in fact mean a low voice, or we talkin' high tenors here? Give me some examples. I might ponify them.

I can maybe invest in the Snowballs...

I could be a 'Feat' singer. Since I haven't an idea on Country/Folk instrumental/structure

I'm just talking about how country singers sound in general. I just can't get my voice to sound ANYTHING like it. I'd imagine it takes a) a genetic gift or b) lots and lots of practice.

Definitely low voice. Male country singers all have a rather deep singing voice. Surprisingly enough, they keep a small bit of the Southern accent when they sing too, which is rather uncommon.

Regardless, there is a definite "sound" to country singers' voices.

I made this which, although isn't country, has some similarities but no vocals (I could have probably changed the trumpet with a violin or something I guess though, also, it was literally made in like, only a few minutes so it's really not that great, it was just meant to be a melody teaser thing);

If someone can get some good old style Johnny Cash kind of country, not the trite that it is today, I'd be down for that shit.

I made a country-ish song once.

It was more folk, really, but people called it country. Does that count?

It ain't Brony Music without a blaring and intrusive airhorn sample.

Steel guitar is why there aren't as many country pony songs. Not many bronies play one. I sure don't, but I can throw down some chikin' pickin'! Write some lyrics and sing, somepony, 'n lets tear it up!
