Sorry, I'm not sure if this would go under music, technique, or what, so I'm just putting it here.
Anyways, I was recently listening to music from when I first started using FLS and realized I haven't gotten any better at anything. In fact, I've gotten worse it feels like. I'm not sure though... I mean, because now I try doing a wider range of things and have a few more things to work with. That, and I haven't done original music in a while, when the whole reason I wanted to start making music was because I wanted to make a bunch of melodies real. I guess somewhere along, I also started doing it more for the sake of getting known again and I also started worrying about fame again (because back when I first started making stuff, I had a LOT of that on the internet, it's a long story 7_7, but it wasn't for making music of course). So what the heck happened, shouldn't you get better at doing things instead of worse? I mean, as of now, I know a lot more about the things like fancy techey effects and stuff, but I feel like I've lost some touch on the actual music arranging part. You can see an example of something new in my sig (it's a Touhou arrange, but it's almost completely original aside from some of the chords used), then something old is this original stuff made with default FL stuff (until chiptune stuff)-

I actually never uploaded these to the internet lol.
So with that said, I think I should go back to making music for the sake of making melodies, rather than actually TRYING to become more known and whatnot. Anyone else ever feel this way though...?
Or maybe it's just me who thinks my super old stuff is better...? I dunnolol.
Maybe it's because back then I didn't have to worry nearly as much about what sounds I chose for certain tracks and stuff... I also made 8-bit stuff, which was most fun because it was just about the plain arrangements for those.
