What Bronies Are Actually Doing? (Can someone explain this?)

Can someone explain this image and tumblr post that's evidentally quite popular? Is this saying that bronies are actually destructive? Are we pyros (and set bronycons on fire too i guess, kidding here)? I guess I'm wondering where this idea is coming from and what the "message" is other than someone is fed up with the fandom and others want to chime in and agree....

Thoughts? Just seems to be a real negative pov that personally i don't share but maybe there's mroe to it then that....

I think perhaps this person (whoever made this image) isn't fed up with bronies so much as he/she simply thinks we're accidentally destructive.

I kind of understand it a little, actually.

Bronies (not all, but a good number of them) go around various websites spreading "love and tolerance" (ah sheesh...) and inadvertently start flame (heh see what I did there?) wars and hater talk.

But that's just what I got out of it.

I thought it had to do with the whole "grow the herd" mentality where all non-bronies must be assimilated at all costs. People get kind of sick of it and a lot of people are tired of seeing ponies pop up all over the place.

Because most non-bronies don't see people like us, because we're not that vocal. They see the kind o people that actually go on random forums just for the sake of posting ponies, and the kind of people who are on pony thread simulators (4chan) and the cherry picked worst of this community of 200 million. I'm not including cloppers and various questionables in this mix, because although there is a fear that people might have this as their first interaction with the community, they are not the biggest contributor to the derisiveness. One has to remember that this fandom grew out of 4chan. I used to be a troll on 4chan. I used to go to furry servers in Second Life and spam noise cubes and block hallways and close pools in Habbo for the lulz. So when people started getting mad about /co/mrades watching ponies, we took it in stride, because living on the internet produces thick skin. But some people don't have this thick skin, they haven't learned that everyone on the internet is secretly a dog, and when they get questioned, they immediatly try to puff themselves up. They get mad. They go try to find friends in the wrong places. And most importantly, they become whiny pieces of shit.

And that's what creates that poor first impression, so when people actually go to check out the show, they're left with that bad taste in their mouths. Overzealousness caused by massive insecurity creating a large outpouring of angry internet noobs on the general populace.

Bronies forcing to fandom down everyone's throats, thinking its a good thing, when it's really giving bronies in general a bad rap, causing hate and destruction etc etc. Because 90% of the bronies go by the mentality that ponies need to be EVERYWHERE. It's pathetic, to tell you the truth, and being the one that talks to and befriends brony haters, I know that this is one of the main reasons people hate bronies.

It's fairly simple really.

You think you are being nice to someone saying "Hey, you should watch the show, it's a great show, MLP for life", what you're actually doing is annoying the person to death. You don't see people going around saying "Hey, you should watch anime, it's amazing, hey, hey, watch anime, it's great" all the time. Surely they say it sometime but ffs the world doesn't need to know every little detail in the new MLP episode, keep it to yourself or your circle of brony friends, and don't be obnoxious about it, i.e. shouting catchphrases really loudly. Wouldn't it be annoying if anime watchers shouted DATTEBAYO and ITADAKIMAS and KAWAIII and stuff like that all the time if you weren't into it, and even if you were?

Which makes it look as if the picture is saying that bronies think they're sharing the best thing ever, but actually annoying the bejeebers out of everyone else.

Shame on me for thinking that picture is funny. I don't think it's anything to get worked up about.

This piece is a very meaningful peace of art, It really brings tears to my eyes when i think about it,

Notice how the top panel is happy and in a land of rainbows, But the bottom piece is a more realistic setting

So i portrayed it as Bronys are spreading imagination and creativity to our dreams and we are burning and destroying reality. A quite impressive piece of art.

Pretty clear message: some guys think it's funny or helpful to spam-grenade the entire internet with brony-related memes and whatnot. The rest of the internet thinks it's annoying (which it legitimately is) and it really wrecks our image.
