Well that's random. I could have sworn that Steam only sold games...

This is ridiculous. Why have FL Studio on Steam? That's just plain stupid.
Steam is for games.
FL Studio is an application.

The main issue I find with this is that hundreds of kids who know nothing about music are going to buy it and expect to instantly be Skrillex.

Guess this would be good for Steam users in particular - but there's no point otherwise, unless it somehow integrates the "game platform" aspect. But that's unlikely.

It not being seen as a "serious" DAW is no problem: a good producer using it will probably sound good, and a (bad) "teenage bedroom producer" with the most professional of DAWs will still sound bad.

meh, I personally don't care.

Getting FL through steam might make it more accessible for some people even.

Avicii and Afrojack both use FL so it's definitely professional standard. Also, have you seen Seamless's stuff? Guys an FL genius!
Anyways, I personally don't care if Steam sells FL- it's just another place people can buy it from.

It could have uses like easy cloud sharing of project files etc which would be cool..

For those who don't know steam is starting to sell applications (which no one will ever buy because of price)

Oh come on. It's not like you're going to be playing versus matches with them and have to listen to them.

Honestly, I don't care if some random teenagers find the program and spend their money on it. That's just more money going to the company and more money to be spent on upgrading the program.

And LFP has a point. For anyone that wants to use FL on multiple computers, it could be a great solution. No more swapping project files that might not work. You might be able to use the Cloud to easily access -all- of your files from any computer with the program.

Plus, I'd love a versus mode. <3

Are you saying it being on Steam could make it compatible with Mac? I don't think so; a lot of games on Steam are only compatible with PC.
