Here be something I threw together today. They are currently untitled lyrics written in the style of an epic black metal piece. I was listening to In Times Before the Light by Covenant as I wrote the first half of this, so think of something like that when imagining music to go with these lyrics. I'll let you all figure out for yourselves what they're about.
Long times forgotten, past tense do proclaim
For times in the future are never the same
The land be now barren with their fading kind
Celestial kingdom that no one shall find
Canterlotian meadows that echo the trees
Seeking comfort from all manner of their disease
Dragons paint the sky in their flame
As 'corn, Earth, and Peg' war over who is to blame
Broken by nightfall and nightside eclipse
No phantoms approacheth upon dying lips
Scorched Equine mistresses sit upon pyre
To feast in the dark from this soon extinct choir
A night bathed in waste
Inner life's liquid; the first thing to taste
Mob within the square
Vision and equilibrium impaired
Fall from existence, Tartarus be swarmed
As night subsides, damage revealed 'mongst the morn
Small Equine creatures and critters repent
For sins made in worship of Lunar consent
Reason this not for the current disorder
The one of Angelic disguise crossed the border
Harboring plague rat descent in the blood
Responsible is he for the cadaver flood
Goddesses weep as they survey the land
The great plague and famine has dealt hard its hand
For now they're in times after light has departed
Civilization cannot be restarted
Extinct go Equine and left now alone
The new dawn of darkness reluctantly throned
For now as the sisters of night and day mourn
Forever Equestria bathed in the black of scorn
