The episode was good. Hilarious, the kind of hilarious where a character in a movie is doing something stupid without realizing it, and it's really funny

Of course, everyone has a father at some point, and here we see him in the past, so her parents could still be dead in the present, we don't know

I think that it's more of the prospect that we've never seen her father/parents so we gripe and moan over it. Or something along those lines. The fandom storms over every little thing in the show. It's pretty annoying.

Storms? I don't know what you're looking at, but most fandom-related stuff I follow/consume/view is pretty normal. I mean, I follow stuff on EqD, and I listen to the Bronyville podcast, which will undoubtedly be telling the fandom to calm it's tits over that Fighting is Magic thing right now, cause they're kind of a voice of reason on matters like that.

Not the greatest fan of the last episode. It was too artificial, if you ask me. Sure, I liked the idea of making the same episode just from different perspective, but the plot of "greeting" (or rather sucking up to someone) was not a good lesson to learn; obviously that doesn't affect me as an adult, but I am thinking about the target audience here.
