For me, I need to reset (restart the process of the program) and then load the friends in the mlp menu (which takes a while).
They also need to have the game of course :D

If you disconnect from the Internet on your device and then move the time forward (say, a day) you can harvest pretty much unlimited amounts of gold and collect the daily bonuses a lot faster. Not really worth it, though, because you end up hitting a wall at Sweetie Belle, Rarity and/or Rainbow Dash that even the clock glitch can't solve unless you invest in a few hours of time-changing.

Well, my Gameloft ID is ph00tbag, surprise, surprise.

All in all, I find the game to be very poorly balanced in terms of cost vs. reward, particularly in the realm of earning gems. Dr. Dissonance more or less covered the why: there's no reliable method of earning gems unless you're paying for them. I don't mind gems and bits having real-world costs. That's the nature of freemium. What rankles me is that I can't seem to earn gems, and gems alone through any form of gameplay except by getting exceptionally lucky.

That, and my town is freakin' OVERRUN with magic-shard-eating parasprites, and I seem to earn magic shards at a rate of roughly one every two days; the time it takes another swarm of magic-shard-eating parasprites to move in.

In spite of all this, I CANNOT STOP PLAYING THIS GAME WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!?!

Note to everyone:

There are 2 ways to gift / receive gifts, meaning each friend can give you 2 hearts a day.

1. "Gift All' function under the social tab. It automatically sends a heart to everyone on your list, with the gifts appearing in their inboxes.
2. Manually dropping a chest in a friend's town. To do so, click on a friend's icon in the Friends list and then go to their town. After that, it's pretty obvious - just press the chest to drop it.

I will not stop playing this game until I have FLUTTERSHY!! then I will be happy. But fluttershy is at like level 41. So ima gonna be playing this for a little while longer.

And there's also a need little glitch trick you can do. For things that take a while to make, you can change the time on your device like an hour ahead and it will think that an hour has gone by but it really hasent. LololoLOLOL!!!!!

I will post my name when i drive up to a McDonalds and FINALLY get online and register a social name. Have been getting by w/o the social friends function and its tough w/o. Got AJ and will work on Fluttershy and Rarity next but man not having hearts, diamonds, or kindness gems most of the time is tough.....

It seems that the hacky thing with rerouting requests is long patched :c damn dat.

Ok I am finally registered after lots of headache. I'll only be able to pop on occasionally this week but I'm freewavepony. Let's be friends. If there's any hints or advice please lemme know. I'm level 30 but a social friends novice so no idea what I'm really supposed to be doing through that. Have sent soem friend invites to the people in this thread(who likely have given it up tbh).

And wtf, they removed Octavia from Ponyville. And I just bought her and Vinyl ;~; and my game wtflags, somehow can't buy her in Canterlot even though I'm supposed to be able to.

Why would you get so mad at a free game? Sure they'd love it if you 'd raid your bank account to buy a few ponies but that's where free choice comes into place. It's simply designed to be a fun all ages time killer.

1. Gameloft wasted this opportunity to give us something generic, albeit being pony-themed.
2. The friend system is buggy, I often thought I'd given my friends some hearts, but ended up needing to do so again.
3. The shop is FREAKING EXPENSIVE. I still remember feeling extremely pissed when I saw Rainbow Dash cost 500 freaking gems, though now she costs 90 gems, but still.
4. Parasprites, rocks and stuff pop out of nowhere just to make you pay to remove them.
5. The waiting time is ridiculous for higher-tier ponies, stores, etc.
6. Have you noticed that the amount of your bits and gems drops slightly over time?
I used to love and play it. I haven't played this game in a long time so some arguments may be obsolete, but in any case, I will never play this game again.

I toned it down because now I'm slightly calmer.

Yup heard about that, not changeling either. Sadly i just got only the solo one after they deleted her from ponyville and i had to re-import her to Canterlot. The one glitch that would have been cool to have.
