I never said that EQG was going to be bad, I said that the idea was bad, and that it's an awful way to shake up the series. There is a bit of a difference.

You're stating that this idea is definitively bad, not that you think it's bad, but that it's definitely bad and you've been very condescending towards anyone who's expressed the slightest modicum of optimism for this.

I am really going to try and start to refuse to participate in fandom activities or conversations, everything that this fandom is doing is just really fucking ridiculous, I just want to watch the show and not have people who watch it as well yelling about something they don't like and making some big ass deal about it. of course, I'll still do music and be here and perhaps... fuck, it's fucking impossible to quit the fandom, no matter how much it pisses me off

I am looking forward to seeing it. I highly doubt that I will see it in theaters, but I will wait for it to come out on itunes and such. I actually am liking it more and more for some reason.



But, I only have one problem about it. The high school part about it. Not because I dont think they can get funny about it, but because I like to think of the mane 6 as adult ponies. Not like in their 30s, but more like 19 or 20. I don't know if they will play this out well, or if the high school aspect will be a flop.

I just can't get over the designs though, like, how much more popular do you think this would be with the community if they had actual skin tones (barring all racial firestorms, because pony humanization skin colors is another stupid arguing point in itself)? I mean if they were just regular humanizations I would see it as a lot less weird, you know?

Yeah, I get how they sidestepped it all, I just don't dig those designs still. Probably going to see it with a load of friends if it's playing in our area though lol

In my opinion, this is an alternate universe where Twilight was never born and that her friends are not graduated from high school yet.
I'm just one of those that like the idea of infinite alternate universes where things are similar, but not the same.

Plus, If she is in highschool, I dislike that she is a teenage princess. maybe she is only posing as a highschooler because she does not know what else to do???

That doesn't change the fact that the Twilight from the FiM universe now in the EQGverse still has education that, from what we've seen in the show, obviously extends beyond a highschool one.
