From what i saw this is supposed to in the theaters in a limited engagement? How weird is it going to be to go and see an MLP:FIM hit the big screen for the first time and not have any ponies in it except for the first 5 min. Just seems like such a switcheroo and cash grab. What a let down as that means i have to PAY to see something i'm likely not going to even like and isn't even on topic for the dang show.

At least maybe i can meet up with some bronies and cry about it afterwards at the village inn afterwards.

i'd say that I think I might like it. I am actually looking forward to seeing it. Think about it, the people who brought us MLP are going to be bringing us EqG. Doesn't that mean that we can expect the same humor, just in a new scenario? I think that we should trust in the writers and just wait and see. be optimistic about it, give it a chance just like you gave MLP a chance.

Seriously, we've heard that argument a million times and it's not going to work. I did not check out FiM because it's about adult ponies turning into humans and going to highschool. I have no interest in watching it, so I don't need to watch it.

I think this could be good. As long as they don't run a separate series on it.
But yeah, FiM has needed a shake-up for the past year, and I don't think the alicorn thing was going to cut it.

Anyway, EQG is a BAD way to shake it up (what's the point in my little pony if it's not ponies?) and alicorn doesn't really make a good shakeup unless you want a series closer. I think adding a new main character or a change in location would have sufficed. Or going into large arcs or something would have sufficed.

People who having nothing to say but bad things about anything they don't like really annoy me. Their lives must be pretty awful if they're that pessimistic. They can tell people that they didn't like it, or don't like the idea behind it, but they can really just leave it at that, they don't need to bash it. Seriously, grow up, just politely say "no thanks" or "I didn't like it" and move on. No need to get your panties in a bundle by continuously telling people how awful you think it is. It's like, when you're in the store, and there's a woman down the isle going off yelling at one of the employees about how awful something she bought from the store is. That lady is nothing but an embarrassment to everybody in the store that they have to shop with her.

People aren't being open minded, they are only being "open minded" about EQG. That's Hasbro's plan all along. It doesn't matter that the idea is obviously awful, people are ultimately going to watch it anyway because ponies even though ponies have very little to do with it. That's the way the industry work, people just keep getting tricked into buying crap because of marketing techniques. I said I have no interest in watching it, and there is no reason I should watch it. There is too many things in this world to watch everything.

"Hey, why won't you watch zoo porn with me? You should be more open minded!" Haha, no. I don't want to watch the movie based on it's premise, so why should I? It's not like anyone has watched it to testify that it's worth watching yet.

If you look through all the pages in this thread, I haven't bashed a single person, and my comment wasn't aimed at you alone, it was aimed at pretty much everybody who has been bashing EqG. So in a sense I was bashing everybody who's been making such negative comments about the movie before seeing it by telling them how much of an embarrassment they are to the brony fandom. And that's not so much bashing as it is telling the truth.
