FL Not Rendering My Snare In Export

Postby Raddons » 28 Feb 2013 08:33

This project has been nothing but trouble for me. With all of the CPU underruns, it's really tough to see if it's mixed well. I spent quite some time getting everything sitting just fine, and I went to go export it. I waitied about 20 minutes for a 2 minute export and I checked and the snare wasn't there. Has any FL users expirienced this? How can I fix this?

You may have muted your snare and forgotten about it, either in the mixer, pattern sequencer or the playlist. It could be because of an automation you have not properly programmed. Or you may have accidentally initialised the snare's volume to 0% (-inf db) on the mixer fader or on a plugin with a gain parameter.

Nah, there is no automation on the snare. The only thing being automated is the on/off on a low pass on the drum bus as well as the cutoff, and that's just fine. It's not muted as well. I'm thinking it's more of a technical issue than an issue with the mixer.

I layered a clap in the intro, but I don't remember if that's being played either, now that I think about it. I'm in class right now and won't be able to check. I don't think it was, if that helps explain myself any more.

Try using Edison, hitting the record button and then the play button on the song. Cut off the silence at the start and end of the recording, and see if it sounds right.

Do you use the default audio driver?

Nope, I'm using ASIO. I'm pretty sure that doesn't have to do with rendering though? I could be wrong.

512-point sync and 32 bit WAV. And yeah, it's a sampled snare.
