Albion III

Heya guys, thought some of you might be interested in Albion III by Spitfire:

Albion I and II were primarily orchestral suites, but III (though still compositionally minded) seems to verge into different sections of music; some patches even have wobble generators (e.g. Stephonson's steam band.) I've yet to purchase a copy, but I'll share my thoughts once I do, though I'm fairly excited as Albion I is quite simply my favourite tool.

Price is good, too. It's on sale at the moment for 410 some US dollars, but if you take the 30% discount if you are a student (Still the commercial licence, too!) you can pick it up for around 280.

Whoa, I didn't see this one coming. Certainly a different direction than I was expecting. I'll have to check this out when I can afford it.

Darn, just emailed one of the administrators of Spitfire - he said that the educational license only takes into effect once the release sale stops - in other words, instead of paying 280$, you'll be paying 380 dollars. Out of my price limit, ugh...

Ask if you can use a discount coupon you got on purchase of another library. I'm not going to use the one I got for Albion II anytime soon.

I don't think they gave 'em out when I purchased Albion I sadly, but I can double check. That'd be fantastic but I'm sceptical for Spitfire to allow 45% off.

Can't hurt to ask.

edit: Just checked the site, you can add a discount code right on the checkout. Ping me on Skype.
