Melodyne, Editor vs. Essential

I just want to know if ill be able to do things like this

with melodyne essential or if im going to need assisstant/editor

Honestly, you could do this straight in a DAW by slicing up vocals and pitching them up if you need to. I don't actually have melodyne, but I know for sure that you can still make Skrilly-esque glitch vocals without it.

yeah ive done some stuff in ableton, the annoying part for me is transposing the vocal so the notes are accurate.
from what ive played with in the trial melodyne is able to detect the actual note the source is. i'll probably end up buying it, since i can get it for 50 bucks right now.

Yeah, I would reccomend this (http://www.image-line.com/documents/newtone.html) if it wasn't more expensive than you said you got melodyne.
