Mixing tips

I'm going to be releasing a new EP soon but I feel my skills at mixing lack. Any tips? Should I post what I have done so far of my 4 song EP here?

I used to think every single mixing problem could be solved by a healthy dose of equalizing. But really, never doubt the power of simply balancing (adjusting volume/panning) correctly. It's made mind-boggling problems for an EQ turn into somewhat easy tasks.

Artificial stereo separation comes in handy too for high-frequency instruments, such as cymbals and certain claps.

Sorry for the short reply, but I really only spend three to four hours mixing my tracks, so I'm sure there are people here who know more than I do.
