Remix HELP

Postby SilkPonies » 06 Aug 2012 23:37

So I heard about the remix war and I got really excited. I don't post a lot of the music I make because I think it isn't good enough, but I'm feeling really good about this one. I am remixing Art Attacks Still Shy and have come to a bridge I can't cross. I've got a lead up to a drop but don't know what to do from there. Some advice would be greatly appreciated. I am also very knew to this forum.

Ok, lemme tell you, this is a pretty nice remix.

Now lemme tell you exactly what I would do:
Take the part where Art says "I am free"
put that at the front, that is the sample for your drop.
at the word free, pitch shift down
get silva hound's "augh" sample from "how far we've come", put right at the end of pitch drop
Get some super high up saw chords with speedy portamento and HEAVY ASS BASS, and drop that shit hard
so it would go "blaughwadawoo beeeh beeh beeh wubwubwubwub beeeh wubwub"
Then keep that going (honestly the whole thing is up to you) and pull back to the chorus with drum and bass going, and drop it a second time into a clean outro.

Then again, completely up to you.

OR

We could collab. I'm always up for a collab. Especially when I already have something to work with. All I need is the wav.

edit:
O wai, that's what art did already.
Yeah, maybe just go into some dnb at the drop.
yeah

Hey thanks, but I think I got it figured out actually. I just needed to stay up all night to do it. :P
