Tuning/pitching samples

Postby Strezzkev » 05 Aug 2012 22:12

So what's a good way to effectively tune the samples, like the typical way of Assertive fluttershy's way in the song booring...I seem to have a lot of trouble in making it simple,

I have FL studio, any preset engines? can slicex do it? any tips will help,

I've gotten as far as slicing a part, and editing the way it sounds, but i just would like a good way to tune it, pitch it to a certain note,

thanks

Drag the right side of the note to set how many bars it takes up/how much time it takes.

perhaps we are on different pages, I have an audio clip, and just has rarity saying "my" on it, the speed doesn't change when I move the length of the bar, when I move it up, the higher i go, the more chipmunky it sounds and the speed decreased, vise versa the other way.
how are you going about it if you don't mind?

If you're using the FL sampler, try opening up the channel settings and messing with the pitch knob/semitone knob. This should give you the fine-tuning you want. Hopefully.

I haven't spent a lot of time learning, so don't let that April 21st join date fool you; I'm pretty new at this myself.
