I need to figure out how to make a synth with similar properties to the first one that you hear in that song. not looking for an exact match, just need to figure out how to get the out of your head feel and the depth it has.
Any tips would be nice! :D

Try using stereo separation and some wet delay.
Well I'm pretty much done with this site (it wasn't about the April Fool's joke I actually loved that). If for some reason somebody wants to contact me or something (not like any of you even care lol):

Try to avoid presets, if you can. I guess they can be a good starting point, but... Try to avoid using them. It hinders the learning process.

Well, ya,
just try learning from them, I use some as inspirations, but It's not really easy to make your own sounds, FM sounds are not much but you know what I mean,

The thing is, I never use raw presets in my songs, I try modifying them

Hah, this is easy! You just...hrmm...eeh, try...no...well, you could...

Yeah, do that.

The sound itself seems to be pretty basic though. I would guess on a simple sine wave, with some harmonics to it. 3xOsc might work (envelope - don't forget it)

Looking for confirmation from someone with real knowledge...
Constructive criticism is more than welcome. I embrace it.

There's not much to this. The pan value is set differently for each note in the pattern. You can do this pretty faithfully with 3xOsc. Get the right chorus and delay effects on it, and add a tad of stereo widening, and you're good to go.
