From Garage Band to Logic Pro

Postby sdoggingsworth » 05 Jul 2012 14:31

Can anypony recommend a good tutorial to help me transition from Garage Band to Logic Pro.

I have both programs, and I see that one is laid out quite like another. The problem is, it's so huge, there are tools I know they have that I simply cannot find.

I am looking forward to getting to know all the new bells and whistles behind Logic, but right now I can't even find where the options I had in Garage Band are in Logic Pro.

All the tutorials I've found are about how to do very specific things in Logic. They are all things I'm interested in, but if I don't watch them in the right order, I get the feeling that none of them will make much sense to me.

Okay, literally, the easiest way to get into Logic is to create some new instrument tracks, go to the Media tab at the top right, go to the Library and start playing with the instruments. You can also create a new instrument track, and in the mixer strip for it, click the blank space above the fader and select a synth.
