Need guitar vestige stuff

Postby Captain Ironhelm » 26 Jun 2012 04:12

Just wanted to know if anybody has any recommendations for guitar stuff that can work with FL. (Such as a VST/whatever that I can choose notes)

What I am interested in finding is: An acoustic guitar, maybe another one with distortion effects, a bass guitar, and a slap bass. I like keeping my budget low (free is good), but I'll look into any recommendations.

Any info on this would be fantastic.

EDIT: I totally put this in the wrong section, didn't realize I wasn't in Sharing is Magic. Too late now, so apologies.

Well, I don't know about plug ins, but I do know that there are a ton of us here (including myself) that would be willing to record real guitar parts for you, free of charge. (I personally can do the acoustic and distortion guitars). Just a thought.

thanks!

I think I have to finally get around to learning a few more chords on the guitar myself, since now I have a reason.

Does anyone know any good VST guitar amp simulators? I keep getting a hissing noise when I record direct input.

You can use a gate if the noise is not too loud. You'll almost always get hiss.

I personally use Guitar Rig, its included in komplete or you can buy it on its own. I can basically simulate any amp/effect pedal combo that you can think of, and I highly recommend it to anyone recording guitar.

You do need a preamp to plug your guitar into however, which may be out of your price range unless you think you're really going to use it a lot.

This. I employ this plugin so often; I've actually gotten it down to the point that I can track guitars using purely software by combining this with NI Massive. But I'm sure everyone knows that already, because I can't seem to shut up about it
Youtube -- Soundcloud -- Tumblr -- Bandcamp (new album out!)

I can't feel my brain.

I already have a preamp. I think I'm going to try adjust the settings on my microphone. It might not actually be damaged.
