DJ Controller Suggestions

Postby Indigo Spectrum » 01 May 2012 21:06

Hey guys! Recently I've been getting into DJing along with music making, and I want to know, what are some good beginner DJ controllers? My budget is probably at most $400. Also, I've heard good things about the Numark Mixtrack Pro, is that a good controller?

Mixtrack is good and cheap but you will likely outgrow it very fast if you end up loving djing. I suggest the Hercules RMX, they are around $300 in Canada and very well made (all metal body), the soundcard is good enough for large systems (not huge festivle systems but small concert). I have used it for a year know and know two other djs that I preform with who use it aswell.

Can I suggest the Dj Tech Dragon 2... bit over your budget but thought its appearance on NAM was quite interesting...

Thanks for the reply 4thImpulse! Been checking out the RMX and it does look really good, might even get it over the MIxtrack Pro, considering it is made of metal compared to the plastic of the Mixtrack.

Looks cool, but if i had the money I would probably get the Traktor S2 instead, that thing is pretty sweet.
