I finally found genre, but what subgenre?

Okay, i finally found a good beginner genre for me, House. But i know there's alot of subgenres, which one would you recommend. And the subgenre i love most and finds most interresting is Dirty house/Dutch. Will they be to difficult?

Id choose the one that i listen to alot and would also feel comfortable while making it - i guess you found it already. You can try experimenting with all the subgenres if you want though or just merge them together a bit, as long as you have fun.

Don't worry about subgenre. Genre alone already lays down a lot of rules that make songwriting easier -- just write something and figure out what subgenre it is later.

I can't directly tell you which sub-genre would be easier for you, but I find electro house to be fairly simple and fun to work with. As for dutch house, I haven't attempted this one yet, but it look like it would be a couple steps above electro house for challenge.

But whatever you start with. Do. Not. Do. French. Or. Disco. House. That. Uses. Samples. From. Other. Songs. It's really really hard.

Hmm... Let's go with this. Experiment with the different sub-genres and find which one you enjoy working with the most.
