Overuse Nexus for normal compos, ymVST and magical8bitPlug3 for chiptunes, and a soundfont for drums (as of September, I've only used it and NOTHING else, had it since last year). Next item on list, Komplete 5.

Every song I compose is in C Minor or C Major.

If it's not, it's because I wrote it in C and transposed it.

Symphobia, there is always some sound from Symphobia in almost all of my orchestral tunes.

Seeing as I haven't posted extra songs yet you won't have seen it. But I really have trouble writing a good melody that does not use a pattern of 1213 1214 (Each number is a measure/a part of the melody. Play part one, then part 2 which is usually a variation of part 1, then part 1 again, then part 3 as a new unrelated part that doesn't end it. Then in the next 4 measures you see where its going.)

Beyond this I tend to also write music with a pacing of 8 bar phrases. Usually 2 8-bar phrases in a part + an introductory/transition of 4 bars.

Apart from that I can't help but write in minor keys/Modes. (Usually all white keys but I am breaking out of that habit.)(Also I love the note D... dont know why but I do. XD)

I write the chord progression first, then build the melody within the chord progression, forcing it flow with the chord progression, then raising or lowering it an octave so it sounds different...
Dubstep = Earth Pony
Electro House = Unicorn
Drum & Bass = Pegasus

Sytrus

Ya

I'm ADDICTED to it, Making Supersaws and cloud pads is so damn easy on it, forget slynth1 and 3xosc, sytrus is the way to go

I also used to have a habit of putting Soundgoodizer on all the mixer channels, but now I'm just lazy and I throw Maximus on the master channel and think it's all going to be fine

I just noticed that every song I try to compose is in either C major or D minor,

naturally

I'm gonna die painfully, and I'm going to hell

Truth is Slynth 1 is pretty excellent, it's BETTER than sytrus for the USER INTERFACE, it just doesn't respond to per note automation like all 3d party plugins, but I only have the demo :3

Soundfonts. Soundfonts. Soundfonts.

Stretching the soundfonts and bending them in the piano roll editor.

Soundfonts.

P.S. I'm recovering. I bought Kontakt 5 and a handful of plugins. Kontakt is awesome.

Oh, and by the way, how old is this thread?

Oh god, all the horrible things I do...
Well there's that one patch I kept using over and over. All I did was just change one of two things each time it used it.
Then theres the camelcrusher... Yeah. I use it for everything.
I always put a compressor with the "drums" preset on EVERY drum related channel.
I follow that one fl guide for mastering my tracks. I only change a few things every time.
I always eq my kick drums the same way, boosting Around 150 hz and around 2 kHz and ducking everything in between. (And cutting out bass frequencies)
There are so many more terrible, terrible things I do, but I'm too lazy and embarrassed to say everything. Maybe I'll add more later.

Oh my god, ALL I freakin use is the white noise from 3xosc. And at every drop I have ever made there is a short whit noise downlifter. (Although it does make your drops sound awesome) On occasion I use a riser sample. But I almost never use reverse crashes.
