wat

How the fuck do you organization

This is my most recent project: http://i46.tinypic.com/2drx3x3.png

I dunno, I've always felt like keeping shit organized like that only distracts me from the song and kills my creative flow. I haven't really run into any problems with my current method, so I guess there's no reason to change it. But that just looks so much prettier :<

Also, I have no idea how you people have managed to make entire songs in one pattern, but if it works for you then keep on keeping on I guess.

You are a good person. I like you. I was close to start flipping tables then you came along.

At least this is how they turn out after a while. When I get too many instances of the same VST going.

My projects tend to range from color coordinated, properly organized to about 4-5 total patterns containing full orchestral scores. I guess it doesn't really matter how organized you are as long as you can make sense of it yourself.

Honestly, I think Rarity said it best.

Organization can be nice, but don't try too hard to fight the fact that your brain is organic, and creativity does things in ways that don't always make sense at first glance. If your track looks messy, it's just a sign that your creative process is highly parallel, like Rarity's.

I meticulously name my synths and attempt to organize my sequencer and mixer, but my playlist always manages to look like a complete mess. I'll attempt to get a screenshot at some point so I can show you the madness :D

Very organized.

Seriously though, as long as the song ends up good it doesn't really matter how you use your DAW.

Don't fret about your usage! If it works, then why question it? I've used this program for upwards of six years, and most often use it the same way you do.

I'm not gonna tell you what you should do or how you should make music, but know this: all those people do it that way for a reason.
