I wanna try some genres.

There are genres that require more complex sound-design than others (Hardstyle, Dubstep, Drum'n'Bass, Some subgenres of House). Starting with those can be really frustrating and you'll need a long breath to come up with something decent.

What would you then recommend for me? =)

Electro house variants are always good. Trance is another easy genre to get started with. Most of those synths, you can look up tutorials online to make. Dubstep wobbles are freaking HARD. Sometimes, I literally spend hours perfecting a sound and it still doesn't sound good.

Okay, trance sounds pretty interresting, i will give it a try. =)

I personally find house really fun to make. ESPECIALLY electro house. Oh, and Drum n Bass is fun to work with, too, but it was definitely alot harder than house. I mean, I got a month long author's block out of making DnB, and I finally finished the song today.

I would recommend that you do whatever is the most fun to you, because that what this is all about. Just be patient and don't expect to create really good songs right away. That's all I wanted to say with my post.

The most fun, eh? Well, House is one of my favourite genres, but i know there's alot of sub-genres for it. Somethings like Afrojack is my favourite kind of house, but what is that sub-genre called? Dirty House, dutch?
Oh yea, i also love the tracks in Deadmau5's "4x4=12" album/ep.
