What plugin/technique/etc do you embarassingly (over)use?

Soundgoodizer is like steroids. Few like to admit they use it but a LOTTA people do.

It's because It makes songs sound good even without mastering skillz
but the song in my sig was the first song to not feature Soundgoodizer,

It uses Maximus instead

Am I the only one who doesn't use maximizers or compressors or anything like that?

(Well, not until mastering, which I (fail to) do in a program separate from my DAW.)

I compress every track i record. then edit it. compress again. mix and render. then do a final compression.

I just looked that up. It's amazing.

I'm going to try to get it soon. I can use Toxic Biohazard for pads and synths and use Massive for bass. Because right now, all I use is Massive.

Toxic Biohazard is my all around favorite synth. If I'm ever lost for ideas, I tinker around with it until I come up with a sound that inspires me.

You know what really sucks? Having Ableton Live Lite.

Having Ableton without access to Operator is depressing.

Massive is the only synth I have ever used that actually sounded good. So I'm fucked until I have it working again.

Maybe I'll get Zebra. That way if stupid shit happens to Massive again, I'll have a backup plan.

I think what scared me was the difference between Aviator's album Reflections of a Dream and whatever that follow up EP was called. Whereas the original mixes were pretty dry, the new versions had reverb and delay spammed all over the map. o_o

I still haven't kicked my Massive addiction. I use that WAYWAYWAY too much. Srsly, all my stuff is 100% massive.

That, and I just LOVE the plucky synth lead sounds of Noisemaker. Although I've been weening my way off of that, since I finally UNDERSTAND how to program Sylenth1.
