Mixing Tips and Tricks from 'Far Too Loud'

So I was browsing thorugh Black Octopus to check out some of their samples and found this article.

I'm a big fan of 'Far Too Loud' and seeing this really just made me happy inside to see popular artists are willing to help newbies. Some pretty useful tips, some of the stuff he talk about have already been brought up in other threads but oh well the more you get it told the better you will remember how it works.
I don't have time for fancy signatures.

I like what he has to say about panning. I've been moving in a similar direction myself. I may adjust pan pots very slightly, but the majority of my stereo positioning has been defined by stereo delay. It makes more sense, since micro-delay (as well as filtering), and not relative intensity, is how humans locate sounds.
