Basshunter-y Leads? (Help meh DX)

Postby SpyPie » 30 Jul 2012 18:46

Right, this is hard to explain :p

So, I've been wanting to make this Euro-Poppy sound. Sorta Hardstyle, I don't have a problem making the drums,

But I've been wanting some help on the Wasps that Artists like Vengaboys or Basshunter uses.

I'm confused DX

Long Live the glory of the swarm and it's queen.

That's mainly achieved by using the unison effect on several sawtooths spread across two or three octaves. You can make them stronger with some noise, a filter with resonance and compression too.

Basically what Lavender says,

The lead is called supersaw, it's a synth that creates a thick, layered sound that oly require one sawtooth oscillator,

In sytrus (plugin in FL signature bundle) just go to one operator and try to get the shape into a saw shape, Set the unison order to 4 and get panning, volume and pitch all the way up while you keep sub, phase and envelope at the bottom, enable the operator on the matrix, and set mod X to cutoff, and mod Y to fliter.

You can acually do this with any synth, in 3xosc, just set all 3 oscillators into sawtooth and detune each of them into different octaves create a unison effect.
Then use a filter, then use the little knob on the mixer called "mix level" and set an automation to it.

That's pretty much it
