The hell is going on?

Postby soup2504 » 25 Jul 2012 17:28

OKAY. UM. I don't know what's going on D:

Um... Let's just this oaky yeah.

Listen to this here (Don't question my filenames)

The beginning is clean and normal, right?

Well, listen to it here.

For whatever reason, I'm hearing some odd distortion or SOMETHING throughout this, and I thought it was just tumblr being weird, but I also uploaded it to soundcloud and eqbeats (Privately) and it was still there... And now comes something else. I decided to go on tumblr with my iPhone and listen to this, and the weird whatever was not there. Am I the only one that hears this? Like, what do?

I think it's because it's getting recompressed throughout the browser. I don't know what the bitrate limit is for what you can hear in your browser but for the most parts medie hosts and sites recompress everything so it fits to the browsers bitrate limit Or something like that I think.

It's also one of the reason you can hear a slight difference between a song on youtube and the actual MP3 that you bought from the artist. There isn't really anything you can do about it. Recompression are coded into medie hosts
I don't have time for fancy signatures.

Oooh, that's exactly what I used to get. Clear your cache by right clicking the flash object and hitting global settings.

Well, it was more like a "delete all" under "local storage settings."

I think what happened to me was that my flash cache was bottlenecked or something. Back then, HTML5 videos sounded fine, but not flash. See if you can also go and expand/remove the limit of your cache.
