Weekly Critique

Postby Codeum » 05 May 2012 15:42

I've been invited to do a special request critique of brony music for Equestria Music! If anybody wants a detailed and actually CONSTRUCTIVE critique of their music, you can link me to your video or soundcloud or wherever the track is posted to [email protected], and I'll provide a nice detailed critique of the track. I'm getting kinda bored, and I want to put the skills I used to make omnipony popular to better use now that he no longer wants my advice.

Here is my newest post:
http://www.equestriamusic.com/2012/05/c ... iazel.html

Once again, send your tracks in to [email protected]!
I'll be waiting to hear your tracks.

A big picture

I sort of feel that way now too, considering that someone else I know who is close to Omni says he was self-taught... Buuuuut, I have received Codeum's feedback in the past, and it's damn good. Just deal with it and take some advice (if you need it).
Youtube -- Soundcloud -- Tumblr -- Bandcamp (new album out!)

I can't feel my brain.

Maybe a little cocky at most, but his tracks are excellent so he obviously knows his stuff and will have great advice that I look foward to getting when I get closer to finishing a song. Learn some tolerance or simply don't post hate.

Well i don't think he's posting hate at all, he's simply calling someone on their cockiness. Codeum's been known to say some pretty outrageous comments in prior threads, no offense. You can grin and bear it or say c'mon man... I'll be honest when i hear codeum a month or so ago say that he wants to not make pony music any more and then participates in a "i will critique your pony tracks" I do get confused on what direction he's going. All the more power to him staying as he makes great music but let's not forget to sprinkle some love in with toleration. (that goes for everyone) ;)

I was tring to say that the comment was un-necessary and (IMO) it intentionally didn't show tolerance which can be considered a small form of hate. Anyway I think we should drop this and keep the thread focused on Codeum wanting to help people out which is a great thing.

Codeum, I emailed you with a WIP of mine, I look foward to hearing from you soon.

Sounds good. Codeum if you're still miffed about omnipony it might be time to let go of the ghost. You seem to namecheck him a lot in every thread for a guy who is no longer on good terms with him. It's not a good thing. :(

It's a cool site and a nice idea. Ive got you linked on my blog, I hope its a positive contribution to the community, and that more people are aware of it.

Oh hey Codeum, I'd like some constructive criticism on two of my songs, if you don't mind.
