FL studio

Hey guys, have any tips for this noobie for tips to BEGIN to make music like in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nrbQdqi ... plpp_video
The song, when broken down, is simple, 1 beat in piano roll, with a loop drum, but i LOVE the sound. Can someone point me to a link of how to get that sound and tutorials for piano roll?
Thank you very, very much!

Well, it's a basic saw, you could probably get it in 3xOsc, or Nexus, or massive. It's a relatively easy sound for both saws. This might help you out.
As for drums, it's a basic kick snare 1-2 pattern. The kick, you could probably find in a sample pack or EQ one packed in to FL already. The snare I think is in FL already, if not, same thing, samples or some EQ'ing.
Hope this helps.

Oh...wow. You really ARE new.
A saw is basically a type of waveform, or, simply, a kind of synth.Usually has a sort of buzzing, kind of detuned sound to it, hence the name.. Very common in a lot of electronic music in various forms.

Well first of all, you need some understanding of how a synth works in order to understand how sounds a created. 3x0sc is a great place to start as it is a very simple, yet versatile synth. Here's a video I found on youtube.
