Remix War 6: United Media Makers

In my travels, I have encountered VERY FEW PMV, ART, or FIC peeps, having neither the time to work with one, nor the cred to actually get one to work with ME. =P
The concept of this kind of collab is a great idea, but it's really gonna be high-profile peeps with other high-profile peeps, or else first-come-first-served.
We need an EQD post to advertise, so we should have a registry of teams by the musicians who read this so they can advertise to anyone interested in working with them.
Big names work with Big names all the time, so this should try to be something different.
Perhaps a random drawing of names out of a hat... yes... =3

I'm still not a fan of the label 'remix war'. Still, I think you guys just need to try a little harder. Several people have already posted in this very thread stating they are PMV's, and if you go to deviant art, watch the 'bronies' group, and just wait for someone who's making the style of art your in need of, send them a message. If they say no, no problem, there's usually tonnes of artists just like them, be patient, you'll get them eventually.

We really need an estimated date to plan this effectively. They just announced the Balloon Party follow-up for next June 2013 so not sure if this project is planned THAT far out or if this will be sooner (and not during the summer which it historically IS). But the completion date makes all the difference in the world.

Ah, now that you mention it, it isn't such a good idea. It seemed like a good idea but now that I think about it, a musician could get paired with people they don't like.

Okay jeez everyone is like *really* upset about not knowing people. First of all, *you don't have to do this.* You can simply just make a remix and call it good. This artists+PMVers stuff is 100% optional challenge. It is not required at all. Relax.

The challenge is to go out of your way to make new friends in a totally new creative environment and ask them to help you with a challenge, to form a team and produce something together with your combined collaborative efforts. You don't know anyone? THAT'S THE POINT. The whole idea behind it all is friendship!!! Go make a new friend and work together!

And YES, the original song HAS to be Pony related. No, remix war will not be renamed because this challenge is an optional on-the-side thing. It's mostly about remixes.

Umm.... so yeah. I know quite a number of people in the brony art community and a lot of people on deviant art. I've yet to hear anything about this event lol. You guys should make a deviant art account for this, maybe a reddit post, and maybe even send something into EQD.

I might be able to convince a few members of Equestria Digital to help out with this event if needed. Theres a few members who do make visuals and what not.

I can help out with graphic art if needed, but you all have to wait until I'm done with finals in two weeks

Oh, now I get it. Okay. So this could be as simple as just having an artist make cover art for you, all the way up to having a fanfic writer interpret the story behind an original song, which you can integrate into your remix somehow, and have a PMVer or animator make the music video for it. BUT you could just do a remix alone, or collab on a remix with another musician, or any combination of the aforementioned things. Is this correct?

Part of how this is being arranged is reminding me a lot of this thing called "BMS of Fighters"; basically its this Japanese series of competitions to make Beatmania IIDX simfiles with original music, notecharts, and dedicated music videos. (and when I see what they do, I further believe that the Japanese have way too much time on their hands.)
