Yeah, I probably should have mentioned that this track would be extremely subject to change if I ever actually got anything - I've always expected, if I produced for a vocal track to build the music around the voice, not the other way around. I listen to this and it all sounds like the layers behind something that isn't there.

To be honest, I'd never really thought of that one. The only serious songwriters I ever hear talking about their technique go on about 'interpreting the music' and stuff like that. But at any rate, I think that an attempt at putting a voice to this would ideally be just as dark as the music, a little hushed, and with that vague hint of urgency that probably only I can hear in it. That is, assuming that one could actually make it work.
This is one of my first actual tracks, and I feel like anyone who would work with it would know a hell of a lot more about what they're doing than I do.
But if you want to take a crack at it, be my guest.
