Hmm... another experiment in style (more electrohouse perhaps?)

I originally wanted this to be for ERS05, but sadly, didn't finish it in time, so now it's here instead.

It was my first foray into sidechain compression and autotuning. I'm pretty damn pleased with the results though, if I'm allowed to say so.

Anyway, tell me what you think guys!

Only thing I could possibly find fault in for this song is that the hi-hats are a bit much around 1:23. You nailed the electro-pop sound DOWN though!

@ArtAttack, I think I was trying a bit too hard to emulate Eddie Thoneick's "Don't Let Me Down," ... in which he sort of tossed some goofy FX on his hihats, which I sort of neglected to do... Personally though, I like hearing hihats, so their prominance might just be a personal preference. Electropop ftw.

@Vers, I'm always a bit biased when mixing my own vocals ... I'm always paranoid they're too loud because I notice them way more than I would otherwise. Probably more of a personal problem, TBH, which is why I'd like to have a dedicated vocalist.

Haha, I have the opposite problem, where I hear every little mistake I made, so I tend to mix it down so people can't make fun of me. xD IMO, it's easier to just learn to sing yourself than having a dedicated vocalist. But that's just me.
