With a few effects, FL Keys, which comes with FL Studio, is actually fairly decent in my opinion. Other than that, I'd use Soundfonts, which are great for replicating any "real" instrument

The Nexus piano is what I use, but as you said yourself, it's kind of expensive. Though I'd stay away from FL Keys, personaly.
I've heard some good things about Piano One, so that is definitely worth a try.
