...because I seriously can't think of a more creative title.
Well, hello everypony! Earlier today I had an idea for a possible event thing all the composers here at MLR could do, and it goes as follows...
The idea was this; anyone who would like to does the following...
1.) Compose a 15-35 second piece of song, in any style.
2.)
Stop writing and drop that short bit of music here on this thread!
That's right...stop writing right when you're getting into it! Why? Because then, other composers come to this thread and...
1.) Pick any of those short musical bits of music composed by someone else
2.) Make a response to that bit, implementing it somehow in the response; see what you can come up with using a melody or rhythm composed by someone else! Will it be the central motif of your song? A bassline in the background? Something else?! You decide, and anything goes! Make the response as long as you like!
3.) Post the completed version here!
Now see, I was thinking the interesting part of this would not only be seeing what people compose, but say several people pick a single short musical bit to write from...it'd be interesting to see the different directions each composer takes!
Note: If you can, name the bits you contribute. It looks prettier than "x pony's bit number 1", and might be easier to search through should you contribute a lot of bits =PThe Music:
To find something by a certain artist, scroll through the list until you find their name or Ctrl+f and type it. Under their names you'll find the bits they've contributed as well as responses they have made to other bits.CircuitfryContributed BitsCircuitfry's first bitResponsesN/A
