no no, that's understandable!
I try to keep a really fun, loose, open atmosphere for each compo, but that's not necessarily for everyone.
stick to what you're comfortable doing and have fun! :)

Thanks for being cool about it bro

SITE UPDATE !!!
here's a changelist
  • some vote errors were fixed.
  • chatlogs are now linked on every page
  • also linked is a version of each compo, with each entry arranged in pre-vote order
  • admin panel is actually usable now
  • lateness alert added
  • page length can be adjusted without modifying the entire page building function

I'd like to point primarily to these:
  • chatlogs are now linked on every page
  • also linked is a version of each compo, with each entry arranged in pre-vote order
I HAD TO ADD EACH CHATLOG MANUALLY.
if I missed something or, worse, if something is broken...post about it and I'll fix it asap!

[lyrics]use it like this[/lyrics]

it looks like this:

and hopefully will keep the pages a bit more compact or something, iduno.

WAT14 extended!
but still not as much as WAT13.

hopefully everyone that wants to will have the thing downloaded by then.

we almost had 3 pages for the first time in a while :O

here's what you missed:
sounds: http://toastbeard.bronyradio.com/a/ZIQ40/
words: http://pastebin.com/UU3Y55pN

next round: corruption!
http://toastbeard.bronyradio.com/a/ZIQ41/

also, about this round: the sync is at the same time as bronycon!
since this is a round for anyone who can't make it to bronycon, and that will probably comprise of several europeans / brits, I'm moving the sync back...to 6pm. (the normal even-numbered ZIQ time)

my question: should I move it back further? if so, how much?

I'm guessing that would depend on who all can make it to the sync...

You might want to specify the timezone, just to avoid any mix-ups.

well, technically you're moving it forward. so, might want to double check that both here in the thread and over on the toastbeard site.
Flinckie wrote:You might want to specify the timezone, just to avoid any mix-ups.

Sci is referring to EDT. All Toastbeard times so far have been in EST/EDT, or UTC-5[ in the summer].

second, it depends on the timezone. are you going by UTC (GMT), which is what Britain is on, or are you going to go by something that is more central to the whole of Europe, say something near/between Germany and Denmark?
Because 6PM EDT=11PM UTC. Britains would have the deadline at midnight, whilst other Europeans who are ahead of the UTC time (UTC+[1,2, or more]) would be around midnight or later.
That's not including a synclisten either.

3PM EDT would bring Britain close to 8 or 9PM. It's your call, but think in timezones here. THis one is more of a Euro-centric ZIQ due to Bronycon, so think of a Euro-centric deadline time.

pretty much exactly what Anorax said.

3PM EDT would be 8PM in Britian, and 9PM for zorg and barr and natsu

but is moving to that time a good idea

Mostly I'm concerned about anyone who isn't in europe + isn't going to bronycon, but can't handle a 6 hour difference in the sync time. <_<

I still think we need a compo for Toast Beard's birthday. I'm dying for an excuse to do something with Pinkie's singing telegram.

happy birthday toastbeard !

one year of compos!

Kopachris wrote:I still think we need a compo for Toast Beard's birthday.

ok but since I was super terrible at planning ahead, the compo starts at the same time as the ZIQ01 sync, and lasts 8 days to hopefully not get in the way of bronycon.

http://toastbeard.bronyradio.com/a/TOASTBEARDBIRTHDAY1/

also everyone gets two upload slots, and pictures are allowed + encouraged, and every checkbox on the admin panel is checked for this round.

whee!
