logs don't get overwritten, this is not skype; either your client doesn't log, or deletes it periodically, or idk.
also, sync-listen.

when i say "logs" i mean what's viewable on the flash connected IRC. at a certain point if you try to scroll back you'll go back as far as you can which may not be that far (i think about 20-30 min worth) but you'll miss out on what's been said prior.

I am implying that this could be a style emulation

PLUS you have a new song to remix.
this should be fun :3

Can something be done about spam soundcloud comments showing up on Toastbeard?

(The ones that say a generic copypasted comment and are tying to link you to their website or something.)

yeah sci or anyone else modding should go through the page before the sync-listen and delete anything that's excessive. its looking a little out of hand here and there especially early in the week.

the vaguely valentine-related theme!

ok, NOW:

I need to hear what happened on your browser with the HTML5 embeds.

from what I can tell: the songs load with the page, so there's no need to queue.
if you push the play button, you can't pause it (without holding it down?)
some of the songs are switched around

for me, the HTML5 songs would load but wouldn't play at all. Everything else was normal.

I'm pretty sure this can be fixed by just reducing the number of embeds on the page (ie, having multiple pages with 20 entries / page or something)
but for now, I want to know what you experienced

The HTML5 all loaded and played fine for me in Firefox, but the ZIQ22 page crashed the whole browser in Chrome.

Firefox wouldn't even show the HTML5 songs, there were just big white rectancles in their place.

Opera plays the songs when the player shows them paused and vice versa

of all the troubles I've heard, this one isn't so bad. at least the player works, even if it looks funny~

Solarsail wrote:ZIQ23 is crashing Chrome even harder than ZIQ22.

that...is quite disconcerting. There are far less entries, HTML5 or otherwise...and it's worse?
that implies that even making mulitple pages + 15 entries per page won't help. :\

TOASTBEARD, PROVIDING THE SOUNDTRACK TO ADVENTURE since ZIQ23

here's what you missed:
sounds bootleg-page1: http://toastbeard.comli.com/pony/a/ZIQ23/p1.php
sounds bootleg-page2: http://toastbeard.comli.com/pony/a/ZIQ23/p2.php
words: http://pastebin.com/wh28rE2j

(or, all entries on a single page, but the multi-page thing seems to help!)

and as for next week's theme....no wait.

wait.

Image

4.4 hours. that sync was 4.4 hours long.
that's absurd.

next round: http://toastbeard.comli.com/pony/a/ERS17/

here's what I've done:
>Episode Response only. no ZIQ theme
>one entry per person.
>sync is at the same time

next week, I'd like to either
1. only run ZIQ when there are no new episodes for that week, or
2. make ERS a 24-hour compo and keep running a weekly ZIQ, or
3. run both ERS+ZIQ in parallel, two entry limit, AND a 5 minute limit.

having two compos in a row seems like it'd be crazy, but a 5 minute limit seems like it might be negligable.
what say you?

aside: I have no idea when I'll properly implement pagination, since programming seems really unappealing in the scarce bit of free time I've been getting recently due to "oh god you actually have to do homework during the semester what is this". sorry about that.
