Edit: So this is the finished version, Not properly mixed yet, so keep that in mind. Tell me what you think.
Also, if you have any tips on how to widen the stereo field, that would be helpful. For some reason I keep messing it up.
I was actually inspired by the new TV show called "Steven Universe" To make this.
Again, at first I was just making sounds to see what I could make, and it was the pads that gave me the idea. I feel like I sorta captured the atmosphere of the show, just enough to keep my idea going.
I wasn't initially going to try and go EDM with this, but I decided why not, I think I can make it work. This is still in the alpha stage of production, not anywhere near complete. I just managed to get the intro finished, the drop isn't at all thoughtout yet, but I'll get there eventually. I'v decided to finish everything I start, of course I might have to take breaks every now and then, but that's all part of the process.
Anyways, Mixing aside, how do you think this sounds? Do you think I sorta caught the atmosphere of it? I think I did, but I could use a second opinion.
How is the structure? I sorta went with the four bar progression technique on this, so about every 4 bars or so I add a new element, and just random stuff in between for good measure.
Anything sound weird or off balance? It sorta sounds off balance to me.
Vocals will be added to this to make it official, but I'm just trying to get the groove and overall timing right before I do.
That's about it, any feedback would be nice.
On a side note, I was able to finish that previous project about two days ago, and I'm pretty proud of it. I'll upload it later to youtube for you guys to hear and, if you could, tell me what you think, It's definitely a milestone when comes to my production abilities, I think it's enough to get me to looking for people to collab with, now that I think I can actually be useful.
