He also said that the reuploading of the older albums to bandcamp wasn't what he thought I was doing, seeing as they shouldn't generate any more money (and free downloads on Bandcamp are very limited). I'll still continue reuploading them, if only to have them there. Anyways, he said he'd get in touch with EQBeats and would have me give them the FLACs then when he's made arrangements. Not sure why EQBeats though.
See I just don't get this idea. I also was notified of this in our group skype of wanting to pick up this project after he discarded it.

it isn't going to get bronies to bronycon, anymore

I want them to be charity albums now

and I'm gonna talk to bronies for good about handling it for me
I really don't think this is fair after walking away from mlr, after pulling down Balloon Party and the other albums, and after asking that they be re-uploaded (under mylittleremix bandcamp domain) to suddenly want to revive this effort personally. Insisting he's still in charge of these prior and former projects after publically saying he didn't want anything further to do with them. Sure he ran these events, but as mod on MLR, and with a lot of help from other mods here and with united community support (at the time).
I just see if he changes the focus of the album from one that helps brony musicians, who couldn't otherwise make it to conventions, and meet each other that's an opportunity lost. That means those who stuck it out and didn't go before are out of luck, and newer musicians won't experience the same magic of a community convention, then those who did prior. The music community really needs a booster shot to keep it alive and thriving tbh, and this event helps do so in its original format. Having Twilight as the theme was also supposed to change the style of the album so that it would support other types of musicians. We could have people like SGAP, Soldat, ATR, who would have seemed out of place on the prior albums have a place and yet still show off the best of the community (other genres). We already have Seeds of Kindness and other charity albums and this would really take away from those efforts or blend in with those.
That also assumes that he has more rights to BP events then MLR. I don't agree. MLR was handling the re-distribution of these former albums and was already looking into hosting the next album. I'll talk with other mods and look to see what we decide on this matter because ultimately its a group decsion and not really just cfry's.
