Luna's Retaliation.

Postby AgileDash » 06 Jul 2011 02:02

Something I starting working on in the early morning been putting it off every now and then because I keep running out of ideas. I honestly Don't know where I'm going with this. I'm trying to make something that Ive never made before and that's music that isn't kinda happyish. I might be going the wrong way with this one... Idk.

I blame Dr. Dissonance for the title.
whether it's his fault or not.

I like it, I think there is just a lot of noise... maybe I am missing the point but I think it would sound better with some stuff cut out about half way through.

Honestly I have some other ideas, but it's your project and I don't want to introduce the idea's without an example to show. also it is late and I should sleep.

I am in no way affiliated with Luna or her attempts at overthrowing Celestia!

As for this piece, I quite like it! It develops well over time and sounds like it should develop even more! Maybe something that doesn't have a similar sound to the choral part, so it stands out. I'd like to hear it when it's more fleshed out!

Honestly this is the only reason I put these up. So maybe I can get some Ideas from others. Since ive never attempted music like this I would agree certain parts don't make any sense or are to loud etc. Ideas are welcome.

Liking the feel of this, though I think it needs to develop a little more. I like when that little melodic idea comes in at 0:45, and I think it could really build after that if you want to make it longer, thicken up the texture from there on as well, maybe.
Still figuring out the whole music production thing.

Perhaps introducing a new section by varying the choral line or the bassline (maybe make the choral part a descending pattern rather than and ascending one for a little while?). Perhaps even play with some strong, sustained low notes (or an active low part).
Either way, I think some more development of the melodic idea would be good.
