In terms of the theme, think BlackGryth0n's 'Take Me To Equestria', only a bit deeper. Otherwise, its all new. In terms of timbre I'm going to add vocals and piano later, but otherwise, what do you think?

The snare doesn't have enough tail to it, so it sounds cutoff and awkward. The reverb you placed on it didn't help. But other than that, it all sounds very nice.

Well, I've given this a 'facelift' of sorts, which basically consists of remastering/expanding on parts I've already started on, and provided a hint at the end of the kind of direction I want to take this piece. Also, I've given it a rather ambitious title which I may change towards the end of production but will leave it as it is just for WIP. It hasn't quite sounded like anything I expected of myself, but its growing on me.

It's a good ambient song, but I think the drums could use a little more polish. The snare sounds a little rough and edgy, and the kick might be a touch loud or booming as compared to the rest of the track, which is pretty smooth and mellow.

If you're up for it, it might be worth exploring a new rack that has a more wood-y, organic, nature-y sound, if that makes any sense. I'm thinking of The Trees by Rush, starting at 1:48.

Do you think that would work well?

Yet more remastering, plus some fillers in the instrumentation and even special effects. I've done what I can with the drums but unfortunately that is my weakest skill so I have to use layers to cover up that fact in the short term.

Looks like the track is down on soundcloud and tindeck. I'm interested in seeing how it turned out, any chance it will be up again?

After many years of refinement this track now sounds like this. Not that anyone will remember the WIPs I posted...

Sadly converting to 128kb MP3 makes the snare sound horrible. Also, this song ceased to be pony-related a long time ago.
