Smash That Bass (Compilation Album)

Postby Ricky Denzel » 10 Jun 2014 10:16

Hey, everybody, Ricky Denzel here.

Okay, asshole. What you got up your sleeve this time?
I'm hosting a original mix and remix compilation album about the most dopest, sickest, bass drops, trap beatz, and house synths that would rock Celestia off her hooves. This has to be MY LITTLE PONY related because I'm getting sick and tired of people having compilation albums and most of the ones who enter submit something not pony related. I'm not trying to be mean or strict, that's just the way it is now. There will be no one but me judging these songs. Don't be like me and rush on one song and expect to be in. I had to learn that the hard way. They all can be hard in any way. I don't mind at all.

Any specific genres?
-Hip hop
-Trap
-Dubstep
-House
-Hardstyle

I see you got the basics, kid. But what about guidelines?
-Send in your project to my e-mail at [email protected]
-Deadline is October 15, 2014 (Will be extened if needed)
-Must be WAV or FLAC file.
-No more than 2 tracks per participant.
-Full-length tracks (Consitng of 7-8 minuets long) will be a bonus track
-PLEASE when sending, give me the name of the track and the name you want to be called.
--If you're collaborating with someone: their name
--If you're remixing a song: The original artists/band name and the name of their song
-No foul and/or sexual language, not in this album.
-Please don't remix the songs from the show. I don't have a good lawyer. Or any lawyer
-Contact me if you need any help or post a comment

I can't stress this even more than I just did. If you have any problems or I missed something, just let me know.

Thanks <3

Just gonna say there's no reason converting into wav from mp3 or any other lossy compression format. You only end up with a bigger file of the same quality.

So MLP focus or loose one? I guess i don't see a big difference between this event and many others out there. A little clearer outline of what you hope this to look like would really get more people on board if they are going to.

From what I'm seeing there is no one jumping in on this event yet. If that doesn't change soon I'm gonna have to lock dead events due to a lack of participants. It does no good to start a generic event that goes nowhere.

Ricky, from what I've seen, you have way too much up your sleeve to even think about doing something like this. You need to finish what's on your plate first before giving yourself more.

Is this going on or not? To lock or not to lock, that is the question.

Lock this. What's the point if no one is gonna join something. I mean, WTF guys? You join all the other ones, but whenever I do something like this, only one person joins.

@SillyDitsy: If you're finished with your track, hold on to it. I might have something in store.

Because you don't just make a thread and start an album. You get a minimum of 5 people you know in on it before you even think about posting. That way you get at least those 5 people to make something, release an album and next time you'll look like someone people can trust to put an album together.

This isn't like fishing. You don't cast and hope for a bite. You've tried this multiple times with the same approach, and that doesn't get results. You need to get people in beforehand or nothing will happen unless you have a HELL of a sales pitch (and you don't).
I'm not here anymore, but if you want you can still just call me Mr. BigBagelBoggle!

Really tho, you can't blame people for not joining an event. You're the one thats at the mercy of people finding your project intresting.

Locking since you requested it anyways.
