Notebook Memories, the debut album from yours truly, is currently up on my bandcamp for free. Any feedback, encouragement, hate mail, etc. is highly appreciated! Even just listening is pretty cool of you tbh.

Heh, I've already started writing my tracks :3

Looks like I'll have a groovy/funky bass orientated rock song and a metalcore song. Let's just hope I can finish them in time.

Are there any other restrictions on tracks and will they be judged?

We do have a bar of quality. You should listen to the older Pinkamena Party albums on http://pinkamenaparty.bandcamp.com/ to get an idea. We have rejected submissions in the past (R&V had like 10 rejected I think), but we try to work with people and will talk about what could be fixed and such. If you make sure it's within the style of PP releases (we have actually been sent brostep that we had to turn down) and that it has decently passable mixing/mastering and quality that's more than pisscore and maybe around shitcore or better, you should be okay!

In other words, the bar of quality shouldn't deter anyone from making something. It's really subjective and you should make crazy music anyway! We hope that everyone gets on the album. There's no rejection quota or maximum number of slots.

What if it was noisestep? Like as in...dubstep mixed with harsh noise and stuff?
Also...have you guys been sent drumstep before?

Drumstep isn't realllly what we're looking for. Crossbreed, sure, and dark dnb would be cool too. If you want to send us something dubsteppish, it should be about as hard as this track: DJ TECHNORCH - Love Love Love You I Love You (Eye's By Eyes Remix)

Arguably that track was more than half speedcore and only kind of did a drumstep thing at the end as a switch-up. Also, the whole thing was caked in clipping distortion.

I'm actually starting to doubt whether or not I wanna participate. I'd love to send in some Harsh Noise or other accepted hard genre, but it'd be sending deeply serious (quite possibly very personal) things to a (maybe) gag album.

PP1 had a percentage of (I think) <10% that was for laughs.
PP2 >50% at least.
If PP3 goes over that, which it well seems to be planning (when I read the Skype chat ...), I would never submit my music to it. Perhaps a Church Of Lel entry, and then still I'd have trouble since all my CoL stuff is very one-sided.

And to refer to Odyssey Eurobeat's recent big blog post, it's not necessary for me to submit just because "OMFGUS ACADUMI OV BOTAYA SHOULD SUBMIT!!!!?" So I think I won't.

Sorry, bro. But I'm pretty sure I hold the record with 3 tracks on RB&V.
And that thing about quality over quantity. It's better to make one truly horrible track than 5 decent ones.

This is a good point...
Personally though, I think the Pinkamena Party projects are compilation albums trying to represent a certain culture. A culture of violent, politicly incorrect music. The gags are a part of that culture imo, so it can't be excluded. But more serious tracks are also part of it.
Also, there's a certain difference between a track that is a joke, and a track that has humour. Don't forget that.

Pretty much this. However, since this is a gag compilation, we mostly do tracks for, shall we say, "the lulz".

Also...I may or may not submit at least an ambient track, if that is acceptable. I will say that it'll be a completely unmastered piece of plunderphonic, vapourwave-inspired ambient with not much percussion at all.

I really thought 20 would be a ridiculous enough number that people would see it and go "oh haha, what a clever jest" but apparently I should have aimed higher.

Usually the things we do for fun become some of our best work. Creating music isn't solely based upon skill, theres an element of joy you can find churning out dem wacky sounds.
Pinkamena Party is a Parody album of BP so by defining as such, Parodies can be funny or a alternative recreation.

As soon as my arting exams thingies are done, spin out some Noisey Noise in Late June.

Can't wait to meet some new friends :3
