Ballon Party and Rainbow & Rooted... what's next?
Where will we go next?
Jam sessions or even side concerts?

Any ideas?

Balloon Party for Pinkie Pie, Rainbow & Rooted for Rainbow Dash...

Might & Magic for Twilight Sparkle?
Applebuckin' for Applejack? (This is a terrible suggestion)
The Beauty and the Pony for Rarity?
Reserved for Fluttershy?

I'm pretty sure the next album is focused around Twilight and will be more orchestral and IDM.

I hope it's not limited to orchestral and IDM. I think that would make for quite a samey album; which would be fine for a regular length release, but a 50+ track community effort may be too much. Maybe a second theme of technicality and virtuosity. Or maybe doing things "by the book" or taking things back to their roots? Or even a mixture / all of the above.

It could have Glitch too.

Perhaps Glitch Hop I think.

I wanna think up names to give this new album heehee, see if I can come up with something.

I was referring to the IDM part. For orchestral, I can kind of understand, but IDM? I don't know.

The idea behind a Twilight album is that the music will have to be absolutely perfect from every angle. If you do instrumental concertos, dubsteps, or eurobeats, the theory still has to be by-the-textbook or ultra-creative. The mixing has to be perfect. The vocals must sound trained and pro if included. Everything will be judged- and only the most perfect tracks have a chance!

That's the current idea anyways.

Well written argument

i suppose what you've said is true, I was looking at IDM pretty narrowly ..

eery wrote:What do you think of when you think of twilight? What mood would you *etc etc*

This is why i think a a second theme of technicality/virtuosity would be fitting , as Twilight would dig stuff like that.

Ultimately though, I'm a retard and should not be taken seriously :3

So if a Twilight themed album focuses on orchestral....

....then I could make something like this...

Nice Ponies and Mean Parasprites. Focus on main 6. It's not like the actual theme of the album means anything.

Actually the next one was confirmed a while ago to be Twilight Sparkle, unless that's changed.
I think a working title was Academy Of Sound. Not sure 'bout that though.

Academy of Sound is the official title for the artist name. The album name is not yet known.

We won't be doing this album for a while. We're gonna kick back and do some other projects instead.

Well if the theme was "hardcore" for Balloon Party (what does that even have to do with Pinkie?) and it was supposed to dubstep and metal and Rainbow and Rooted was "speed" and it was supposed to be like dnd and punk, than I guess Twilight would be "technicality" and it would be like IDM and Prog, but it's not like the themes were that closely followed anyway.

The theme for Pinkie was Knife Party, the theme for RD was "speed and style", and the theme for Twilight will be perfection. Whether that means you must restrict yourself to 1 or 2 genres is up to you.

Empire of Harmony sound good?

Or do you want something music-related in the title?

 Sounds good to me but what of the others and are we just going to stop at the main 6 or perhaps have Luna and Celestia and/or background ponies?

Maybe Celestia's album can be orchestral, and Luna's album can be bi-polar.
